A special wine dinner featuring Shinshu Takayama Winery
Park Hyatt Tokyo is delighted to announce a special five-course dinner at Girandole featuring Shinshu Takayama Winery. This is a winery to watch as it continues to gain more domestic and international recognition with its well-crafted wines.
Located in Nagano prefecture, Shinshu Takayama Winery’s surrounding natural beauty, relatively cool climate and fertile soils have made it an area perfectly suited to producing fruit for winemaking. Matsukawa Valley nestled between the scenic Japanese Alps, is home to the vineyards where the winery sources its grapes from.
Shinshu Takayama Winery began as a collaboration of local vineyard owners and winemaker Mr. Eiichi Takano with the planting of Chardonnay vines in 1996. From its humble beginnings, it now works with 30 farmers who collectively operate 60 hectares of vineyards. As the winery continues to be an innovative force, we have invited Mr. Takano and Mr. Kunio Naito a member of the French wine society, Chevaliers du Tastevin, to share its unique story.
Take this rare opportunity to enjoy these balanced and nuanced wines paired with creative dishes, courtesy of Girandole’s Chef de Cuisine, Kojiro Tsutsumi. A culinary experience to satisfy your mid-autumn appetite at Park Hyatt Tokyo.
